By the numbers: How Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu dominated against Connacht

Springbok flyhalf Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu has hit the ground running since returning from injury last month, but he was utterly jaw-dropping in the Stormers' win over Connacht on Saturday.

The 23-year-old was named Man of the Match in his side's 34-29 win over the Irish province at DHL Stadium, notching a 24-point haul thanks to a hat-trick of tries, three conversions and one penalty. But it's the numbers behind the rest of his game that deserve to be put under the spotlight as he dropped a breathtaking display.

Here is a breakdown of the stats behind Feinberg-Mngomezulu's performance in the Stormers' win against Connacht.

Attacking wizardry

Feinberg-Mngomezulu has developed a seriously strong running game in the past few weeks, to go alongside his flashes of playmaking brilliance, and again, that was on full display this weekend.

Across his shift, the flyhalf made a whopping 83 metres from his 11 carries ball-in-hand, an average of 7.6 metres per carry, and also notched a tidy two line breaks in the process. On top of this, he managed to beat five defenders too.

What's more impressive is that these figures were all game-high tallies!

His playmaking skills also came to the fore once again. He notched a tidy six passes across his shift, including one assist, and got the Stormers rolling with nine kicks out of hand as well.

Defensive efforts

While his attacking exploits will steal the headlines, and rightfully so, he more than contributed to the defensive efforts as his side squeezed out a pivotal win in the race for the eight.

Across his day's work, he made 10 tackles - only beaten by Evan Roos (13), Damian Willemse (12) and Paul De Villiers (12) for his side, and posted a success rate of 83% in the process. He also made one dominant tackle.

To go alongside that, he made one turnover as well and was just one of three Stormers players to do so (matching Salmaan Moerat and Roos).
