The Limpopo outfit played out to a 1-1 draw against a stubborn University of Fort Hare at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane over the weekend.
Speaking to SABC Sport, Tlailane says picking up four points despite suffering one defeat has boosted the team’s confidence and reaffirmed that they belong in the top-flight.
“It really is a great feeling collecting points as newcomers in the league. It brings confidence, validation and great joy that we are doing something right. Everyone has really stepped up to ensure that we come into this league, to do our best and compete with our counterparts.
“The game against Fort Hare was really challenging for us, but we managed to contain their overwhelming attacks, especially on the flanks. They are a good team, full of energy, can be aggressive at times,” Tlailane.
Ramatlaohle will face TUT FC next at Solomon Mahlangu Stadium on Saturday. Tlailane believes the team must remain disciplined, avoid complacency and tighten up defensively to maintain their promising start to the campaign.
The 31-year-old defender also hopes to see more of her teammates earn national team call-ups while pursuing opportunities beyond football through education.
“I also want to see other players do well, earn national team call-ups, and enroll at schools, colleges or universities. I’d like to play a role in their growth, whether it’s football-related or academic. Lastly, and most importantly, I want to glorify Almighty God with the talent He has blessed me with.”
