This comes after the South African Football Association launched the revamped competition, which will now be played across two streams – the Super Era and the Super Rise.
Speaking to SABC Sport, Moodaly-Salgado says the two divisions could make the league more competitive this season.
"I think it's a good idea going forward with regards to obviously getting more spectators, because that's what we want, we want more limelight on the women's football game," said the former Banyana Banyana midfielder.
"Yes, it's going to be challenging, like the previous coaches have said, you need to start from game one, but overall I'm very excited, I think it's going to be nice and competitive and ultimately get spectators."
The Bedfordview-based outfit avoided what many viewed as the “group of death” and will compete in the Super Rise, alongside newcomers Ramatlaohle FC and City Lads FC.
Moodaly-Salgado believes there is still plenty of hard work required for JVW to compete strongly in the group.
"I think I speak for all the players, we honestly just cannot wait to get out there and play football, it's been a long pre-season," she added.
"But looking at our group, I know we speak about 'group of death' but we're not in an easy group either – opponents like the ones in our group are ones where you really need to grind and get as many points as possible, so it's two halves and we're also ready!"
