The Mpumalanga outfit has consistently been favourable title contenders having maintained second place on the log, with only five points away from the defending champions.
Speaking to SABC Sport, after their 4-0 win over First Touch ladies on Sunday, Kgoale believes they are still a team in progress and can only win the league in good time.
"It is clear we want to do well in this league, compete for the league if possible but we know that Sundowns have been the champions for so many, many years. They are difficult to beat, they are a really, really good team, respected in this continent not only in South Africa,” Kgoale said.
“So, we are a team in progress, we only just started three years ago, you can't just go to number one and also the players as well, we are trying to do our best in making sure that we become the best in the country but it's a work in progress like I said."
Kgoale returned from a long-term injury with a statement, securing player of the match accolade at Kabokweni Stadium.
She says it took self motivation to find a way to good form.
"Extremely difficult, I'm gonna be honest, we all know as athletes, it's very, very difficult to come back from an injury. For the most part, it knocks down the mental side of things but I had to be tough on myself and be like, you gotta get back into the game, that's what I love to do,” she added.
“It's what I'm gifted to do, so I had to somehow with the help of my team as well, to get back into it."
