UCT’s number one shot stopper will join coach Desiree Ellis’ charges in camp ahead of the Three-nation series against Botswana and Zambia from 28 May.
Speaking to SABC Sport, Kapman believes that Williams has a great chance of being South Africa’s number one goalkeeper in the near future if she remains consistent.
"It's a great achievement for her and for the team. Jessica has been working very hard, and she's always been a fantastic goalkeeper with great potential. She can easily become the nation's number one," emphasised Kapman.
Williams recently returned from a long-term injury, having featured in the last three matches for the Capetonians. The 59-year-old mentor believes the team has high chances of improving in the second quarter of the league, considering Jessica’s long-awaited return.
"Williams has only played in our last three games after recovering from a very long injury, but since her return, the team is doing much better, and she's given a lot of confidence to the team," declared the coach.
Kapman also adds that it will strengthen UCT’s reputation should Williams be selected in the final Banyana Banyana Wafcon squad.
