Chiefs narrowly beat Zesco 1-0 at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium last Sunday, and it’s important that they complete the double over them this weekend.
Three points will move Amakhosi to seven points and give them a chance to fight for a top two spot, and Maboe shares the planned approach.
"They are very awkward as I said to play against because they are a team that plays a lot of long balls. They wanna play off second balls, they wanna fight. So, I think for us we're gonna be playing in a much, much better field, so, for us it's just to frustrate them with keeping a bit of possession and finding the pocket players as well,” Maboe said.
“They seem to be opening up later on in the game when they were chasing, so I think if we get an early goal, it's gonna be a different game than it was in the first leg because they're gonna have to come out eventually. So, I think the first goal is gonna be a very important goal in the game."
Chiefs will still have two games against two Egyptian giants, Al Masry at home and Zamalek away, after this weekend’s match.
Zesco have proven to be the weakest link so far in the group with three losses in as many matches, and Maboe says they also need these points desperately.
"It's going to be a very important game for us this coming weekend because we also need the points to get out of the group stages. It won't be an easy game, they are a very awkward team to play against but I believe in the depth that we've got in the squad that we're more than capable to collect all three points at home,” he explained.
