The two sides meet in the CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary round first leg at TP Mazembe Stadium in Lubumbashi, with the return leg scheduled for next weekend in Johannesburg.
Chiefs lost 1-0 in Luanda in the previous round – a result that left them under pressure at home, although they eventually advanced on penalties, and Miguel insists they’ve learned from that experience.
"Yeah, of course, we learn from our mistakes, that's part of the process. We understand what we did wrong in Angola in the first game, we can't repeat the same mistakes," said Miguel.
"We are focussed on coming back with a win, and go more relaxed into the second game, but for that we need to work hard, of course, we need commitment and I think all of us are prepared for that."
Chiefs have been boosted by the inclusion of new signings Khanyisa Mayo and Lebohang Maboe, who have both travelled with the squad to the DRC, with Miguel certain that their quality and experience will be vital.
"Yeah, of course it's important to have this new blood, as you said. It's important for the team to have this competition between us because it will make sure that we don't relax," he added.
"We have no other choice than to work hard because otherwise there are guys behind us who can take our place, so I'm happy and excited to see Mayo, Lebo and all these new players we need to perform in Saturday's game."
The match will unfortunately not be broadcast in South Africa, after AS Simba failed to agree a deal with a host broadcaster in DR Congo.
