This follows the club’s official media launch and confirmation that it will compete under Marumo Gallants’ women empowerment CSI initiative, Marumo Cares.
Speaking to SABC Sport, Monate says their aim is to build a disciplined team both on and off the pitch.
Monate added that her role includes assembling a strong squad and continuing to identify and develop talent for the future.
The 54-year-old mentor also stressed the importance of appointing an experienced technical team to ensure the club is competitive in the 2026 Super League season.
"It was not easy to take this position. I had to sit down and take my time to think about this position because to lay this foundation is not an easy thing, but we are all excited to grow this team together."
Monate says their players need time to regain full fitness but believes the team has the potential to make an impact in the league
"All along I've been doing assessments with different players until making the cut. I'd rather have 19 players than 100 players who are not going to give you what you want. When I looked at these girls, that's when I said these should be the ones we should sign. They are very determined and disciplined, and let's hope once they get their fitness that we will see a very good team."
