Tebatso Sebela on searching for positives in final HWBSL matches

This after the Rockets suffered a 5-0 defeat to defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies at Wits Football Stadium on Sunday.

Speaking to SABC Sport, Sebela says the team will use the defeat as a learning experience - and to help prepare for the final stretch of the 2026 league campaign.

"My observation of the match – Playing against Sundowns is always difficult. What can I say – It's like having a short blanket in winter – when you cover your legs, the upper body suffers, and when you cover the upper body, the legs suffer. So, as TS Galaxy, today we focus on the positives and move on," said Sebela.

The Mpumalanga outfit has endured a challenging season following the departure of coach Sizwe Sibiya last month. They currently sit outside the top three, having collected 19 points from 11 matches.

"Yeah, the league this season is interesting  –  everyone is fighting for themselves. All the teams are looking for three points for different reasons  – some are looking to occupy fourth position, while others are looking to get out of the relegation zone, so it is always difficult."

With only three matches remaining in their 2026 campaign, Sebela says he wants his players to work hard and win all their remaining games in a bid to move closer to a top-three finish.
