Ben Youssef and the second assistant Cedric Kaze oversaw Amakhosi’s first win of the season in front of a sold-out crowd at Athlone Stadium.
Goals from Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and Glody Lilepo, ensured Chiefs’ dominance over Stellies continued.
Ben Youssef says it was an all-round team performance.
"We promised Nasredine Nabi that we would win this game for him, and we are all praying for his wife to feel better so that the coach may rejoin us.
"To maintain concentration and focus in a game like this one is tough, but our players never gave up fighting," said Nabi's right-hand man.
Chiefs took to this game without their new signings coming from overseas, owing to outstanding paperwork, ranging from work permits and international clearances.
Ben Youssef provided an update on the situation surrounding Flavio Silva, Ethan Chislett, and Nkanyiso Shinga, stating that they are continuing to prepare for the matches with them.
Chiefs' development product Aiden McCarthy has also produced stellar performances for the club from pre-season until now and was rewarded yesterday with the man of the match award.
Ben Youseff says they have been patient with McCarthy and now they are reaping the rewards.
"We have to give thanks to the DDC coaching setup for getting these young players ready for senior top-flight football.
"Aiden has a good work ethic. He struggled a bit last season, but he's been one of our best players in camp recently."
After finishing outside the top eight for the second consecutive season, Ben Youssef says this is a season of delivery for the club.
He also mentions that the plan is to give more game time to their development products as they prepare to compete in the CAF Confederation Cup.
