The quadrennial tour will alternate between the two nations every four years, starting in August and September 2026, when South Africa hosts the All Blacks.
The All Blacks will face the DHL Stormers, Hollywoodbets Sharks, Vodacom Bulls, and Emirates Lions, before a four-Test series against the Springboks.
Kolisi says this is the kind of tour players have always dreamed of, one that celebrates rugby’s greatest rivalry and brings fans closer to the game.
"Rugby's greatest rivalry is coming to South Africa, and it is really exciting. We've only ever heard about these tours before; we've never experienced something like this as a team."
The tour will then move to New Zealand in 2030, marking the Springboks’ first extended tour of the country in the professional era.
Kolisi says he hopes most of the current Springbok squad will still be around to experience this milestone event, describing it as a once-in-a-generation opportunity for players and fans alike.
The All Blacks last toured South Africa in 1996, winning the Test series 2–1, having also beaten the Springboks in that year’s Tri-Nations competition.
Kolisi believes the upcoming tour will be huge for rugby globally and has called on South Africans to rally behind the team and showcase what the country can deliver, both on and off the field.
"This game has always been played in great spirit, and I do not doubt that this series is going to be something huge, and something that this generation will never forget.
"We can't wait for it."
