The Copper Queens finished third in the last continental tournament in 2022, after beating Nigeria in the 3rd/4th place play-off in Morocco.
Nanyangwe says finishing third was a great achievement, however, they now aim to go all the way at the upcoming edition, where they will first need to overcome hosts Morocco, Senegal and DR Congo in Group A.
"Finishing third in the last WAFCON was a great feeling, so our target now is to win the tournament and go back [to Zambia] with gold medals," said the 25-year-old.
"Looking at our group, it's not an easy group, there are no underdogs in the group so we will take each and every game as it comes because every game is important.
"And everyone is looking forward to [getting started in] the group."
Nora Häuptle's charges will open their campaign in the tournament opening clash against the Atlas Lionnesses on Saturday in Rabat, with Nanyangwe looking to get some minutes this time around after being a bit-part member of the squad three years ago.
"The mood here in camp is high, the morale is good and everyone is happy to be here in this camp, and everyone is eager for the tournament to start and the first game," she added.
"Looking at this WAFCON, it will be a great tournament and I'm looking forward to playing more minutes, and yes it's a big tournament so I'm eager to play and help my team get into the next rounds of the tournament."
