Moremi, who was one of the 16 AFCON debutants in Hugo Broos’ team at the AFCON, was arguably one of the standout new players for Bafana in the tournament, together with Mbekezeli Mbokazi.
He played in all three matches, contributing an assist in his first game against Angola for Lyle Foster's opening goal.
Moremi openly admits that AFCON is on a different level.
"The levels are not the same in the national and the football club. It's not easy in the national team, it's hard because sometimes when you compete with other nations you find that some players are strong physically while in the PSL we all are not that strong,” Moremi said.
“It's not easy but if you prove yourself and show them who you are then things may go your way. When I started, it was really hard but as time went by I learnt where I could capitalize the spaces and benefit from the weaknesses of our opponents but for me, it's not the same."
Moremi is a player who seems to thrive under pressure and has always shown patience in building his career.
From his time at the Remember Elite Sports Academy (RESA), Bizana Pondo Chiefs, AmaZulu, and JDR Stars, Moremi never lost sight of the bigger picture.
He continues to operate like that at Pirates.
"I think for me when I got here there was a lot of pressure, it wasn't easy but I know that I always give my all, that's why even when I was with AmaZulu I was performing well in each and every game,” he explained.
“So, when I came here it wasn't easy because the pressure is not the same but then as time went by, I knew that I needed to work on my final decision making and yeah, that helped."
