This comes after the two-time Champions League winners were drawn in Group A for the COSAFA zone qualifiers, alongside Ntopwa FC of Malawi, Beauties FC of Namibia, and Zesco Ndola Girls of Zambia.
Speaking to SABC Sport, Sapula says this is familiar territory for the team and believes they have the potential to claim gold again.
"It is not an easy group for us, and we all know that teams from the likes of Zambia have the possibility of going all the way.
"We have won this competition in the past, and we have a very good chance of retaining our title," stressed Sapula.
The 2025 COSAFA CAF Women’s Champions League will return to South African shores from 22 August in Johannesburg. Sapula says even though playing at home gives them a slight advantage, they will still have to pull a quality performance if they want to claim the championship.
"Playing at home in this championship does give us a little bit of an advantage because we get to play with our supporters cheering us on from the stands, but football is still an unpredictable game."
The 51-year-old mentor believes the team has much to prove, coming into the competition as two-time Champions League winners
The Chloorkop side are still dominant when it comes to domestic football, topping the log and having secured 11 wins in 15 outings.
Sapula says the team is confident to remain at the top.
