Godfrey Sapula: The target is to dominate Group B

This comes after Banyana Ba’Style secured a crucial 3-0 victory over Malawi’s Silver Strikers at the Gaborone United Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Sapula says the target is to finish strong in all their group before ultimately going all the way and winning the COSAFA Championship.

"We are not aiming to simply qualify for the semifinals, we want to make sure that we collect maximum points from all three of our group games. We are playing according our culture and our winning mentality."

Sundowns have scored 11 goals in two matches while keeping two clean sheets. Sapula says he was impressed by his players’ ability to maintain their intensity until the final whistle in both fixtures. 

Sundowns have shifted their focus to preparing for their final group fixture against Costa Do Sol on Tuesday.

Sapula says he will refresh the squad and give some players an opportunity to ensure they finish top of Group B.

"We have to look at how we rest our players because some of them have played a lot of minutes, and you can't play two 90 minute games in two days at a high intensity. We will look into that so that when we play the semi-final, we will have a fit and fresh squad ready to deliver."
