SAFA to take action against two KZN clubs involved in a brawl

The South African Football Association confirmed in a media statement that they will take action against two KwaZulu Natal teams who were involved in a violent brawl during a Hollywoodbets Super League match on Sunday.

The KZN Derby between Royal AM Ladies and Lindelani Ladies saw the match official release five red cards to calm what was a heated violent act amongst the two teams in the dying minutes of the game, which eventually was reported to SAFA by the Match Commissioners following the live broadcast of the incident.

SAFA stated that the Referees’ report will be studied before the two teams are called into a Disciplinary hearing.

Royal AM won the game 2- 1 at the Princess Magogo Stadium, which moved the KZN side to 11 place on the log with 7 points, just 5 points behind Limpopo’s First Touch Ladies.

The Hollywoodbets Super League match 8, produced 30 goals, with eight wins.

 Defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns remain on top of the log with 18 points, even with second placed University of Pretoria.
