RB Leipzig boss Marco Rose 'taking a lot of positives' from Real Madrid defeat

RB Leipzig manager Marco Rose was left to 'take a lot of positives' following his side's narrow 1-0 loss at Real Madrid in Champions League action on Tuesday night.

Brahim Diaz's 48th-minute strike separated the two sides and Leipzig definitely showed they could match Real.

"We started the game well and scored a goal that should have counted," said Rose.

"That's tough at this level, but we still stuck with it and did our jobs. We had chances, but then fell behind with a dream goal. All in all, we had our chances and in the end we ended up with a 0-1 result, which was bitter overall because we deserved more.

"Our approach will not change. Our performances aren't translating into results at the moment, but we shouldn't fall into the role of victim now, and instead take advantage of our opportunities again. We can take a lot of positive things with us."
