Kenvue and SAFA Partnership to expand access to female health products

Kenvue South Africa managing director Astrid Stealey says the one-year partnership with the South African Football Association is aimed at improving access to sport and female health products for young girls at grassroots level.

This follows the announcement of Stayfree as the official sanitary pad sponsor of Banyana Banyana at the launch held at SAFA House on Friday afternoon.

Speaking to SABC Sport, Stealey says the partnership aligns with Stayfree’s commitment to supporting young girls and promoting women’s health, while also inspiring other companies to follow suit.

“When we look at partnerships, we think about how we can be authentic. We saw an opportunity to support young girls by focusing on female health, which fits perfectly with Stayfree. Through this partnership, we want to ensure that more girls have access to sport and female health products across the country, particularly at grassroots level. “We also hope this inspires other companies that produce women’s products to partner with the national team,” said Stealey.

Stealey added that the partnership is designed to ensure Kenvue plays an active role in using sport as a vehicle for positive social impact within communities.

“This partnership will help drive impact across the nation. Through Stayfree, we will be supporting community teams with training equipment while also providing access to Stayfree products,” added Stealey.

SAFA Head of Women’s Football Dawn Lubisi further revealed that the partnership has also launched the Goals for Pads initiative, which aims to make a meaningful difference in communities by donating 1,000 sanitary pads for every goal scored by Banyana Banyana.
