Puso Dithejane stole the show at Buffalo City Stadium, netting a sensational hat-trick in a come-from-behind performance that saw The Rockets snap their three-match losing streak in the 2025/26 season.
Galaxy endured a frustrating start, suffering back-to-back defeats to Sekhukhune United in the league and cup, followed by a loss to Durban City, but Beganovic maintained his team have only been marginally off the pace.
"You know, all three games – and not only this one – including the MTN8 against Sekhukhune, we've played well, and in analysing I could be happy because we did everything [right]," said Beganovic.
"I could see how we played and how many chances we created in all the games, and I knew we just need to stay calm – yes, it's painful, but we need to stay calm and train the same way we've been training.
"We can't lose our heads because we just want to keep our structure, our philosophy and exactly the same way we want to play in every game, not only against Chippa.
"TS Galaxy have a clear philosophy and game plan, and every game we prepare our team different, depending on how the opponents play, but I'm so happy because again we improved.
"With a lot of young players, sometimes it's painful because young players can make simple mistakes sometimes and then you concede some goals, but we need to stay strong and believe in our players – the whole technical team believes in our players.
"So I'm so, so happy with how the young players have learnt quickly to improve in every segment of the football matches."
