Bok Women progressed to the finals, after two dominant wins against Uganda and Kenya at Stade Makis in Antananarivo.
Speaking SABC Sport, September says this afternoon’s final is an opportunity to prove that they want to remain the best team on the continent.
“We came to Africa, important for us, we need to win, we need to defend our title successfully. It’s gonna be a big task however we’re in the final huddle but important for us, we’ve got our systems, we’ve got our processes, we need to go through that but the assignment hasn’t changed,” September said.
“It’s the same Africa Cup, we wanna be the best team in Africa and we’ve got an opportunity to prove that by doing what we do best.”
September shares what he is expecting from Madagascar in the finals, stating that it’s a team that can manage to keep the ball alive and usually thrives when playing at home.
“I think Madagascar, not an easy one, especially they are at home. They are a team that keeps the ball alive, the last two matches, last year as well, we saw that they’re good at breakdowns, they’re good at poaching your ball at breakdown time and we need to look after our breakdowns,” he added.
“They play from wherever they want to play from. They make use of the width of the field but we’re ready for that.
