Jake White wants Bulls to seize the moment in high-stakes Edinburgh clash

Bulls Director of Rugby Jake White believes motivation won’t be an issue as his side gears up for a crucial United Rugby Championship knockout match against Edinburgh at Loftus Versfeld this afternoon.

These two sides meet for the third time this season at 13:30._

White says his players are fully aware of what’s at stake and need no extra push ahead of this playoff clash.

"We're at home which is quite nice and we worked hard to get home playoffs and that always comes with a nice bonus because you get to sleep in your own bed. You get to use your own facilities and they beat us a couple of weeks ago, so it's not much I need to say because I think the players understand,” White said.

“We play Sharks next week or Munster if we win obviously and I'm just saying those are the two teams that beat us this year. So, there's not much that I need to say in terms of getting them ready. So, it would be a little bit of deja vu on the basis that we've been here, done it before."

While the Bulls won their URC round 2 clash in Tshwane, it was Edinburgh who emerged victorious in the EPCR Challenge Cup quarterfinal, bursting into a 31-7 lead before the Bulls clawed back with their physical game.

White reflects on what went wrong in that match and what his team must improve to avoid another early deficit.

"Finished well against them, that gives me hope. I said to the media after that game, had that game gone another five minutes, I have no doubt that we would have won it, that again says a lot because I know that there are a lot of things that we could have changed and I could have changed in the build up to that game,” he added.

“So, selection wise, rotation wise. Using the bench, whatever the strength was, either worked or didn't work in that situation. There'll be a lot of things that I look at that game and know that if I'm a little bit more aware of what happened last time, it might help us in our favour."
