Brits was one of the players who managed to get to triple figures in an innings in the team’s recent tour of Sri-Lanka, but says it cannot be an isolated performance especially as a top order batter.
Brits says she wants to use the tour of the West Indies to work on contributing more runs.
"So, of course I'd like to do another milestone, maybe like a 50 or 100 but maybe be a bit more consistent instead of just making a 100, then maybe 14 like I did the previous one and then getting close to that 50 again,” Brits said.
“So, yeah, if I can rack up some more runs and be more consistent. We always talk about that because partnerships at the end of the day are what actually make the runs and make your life a bit easier in the batting side.
“We'll continuously talk about that until we get them right but maybe a bit more consistency in partnerships."
Brits opened the batting along with captain Laura Wolvaardt in the sub-continent, bar one game where the skipper had to sit out with illness.
She says she hopes to continue with Wolvaardt at the top because they play different roles that complement each other.
"Firstly, I hope it is like that, I never take things for granted. I don't know, Wolv and I just seem to manage with each other like some days she's on, some days I'm on,” she added.
“She's more the anchor role, I think she's played a lot of cricket in her life to realise her type of game. I might still be tryna figure myself out, but I'm a bit more of an aggressive type or so it seems. So yeah, we actually complement each other quite well."
