CUT recently hosted an awards ceremony to celebrate leading athletes and sports administrators, with Victor and Botswana national team coach Martha Samm coming out as big winners at Urth-Bayswater in Bloemfontein.
Speaking to SABC Sport, Victor says this accolade is a reflection of her hard work and has inspired her to continue to dream big as a netball player.
“It's honestly such an honour to be named the Sportswoman of the Year at CUT and I'm really proud of myself for achieving this award," said Victor.
"It reflects all the hard work and dedication I've put in throughout the year, and it's such a satisfying feeling when your effort pays off.
"Moments like this remind me that I'm capable of anything, if I stay focused and work hard, anything is possible."
This year Victor enjoyed her Youth World Cup debut in Gibraltar, where the Baby Proteas made history and finished as semifinalists for the first time, which she says is one of her career highlights.
"You know, 2025 was the year that we participated in the Netball World Youth Cup, and it has definitely been a highlight of my netball career," she added.
"We've been working so hard since 2024, when we played the Africa Qualifiers, leading up to this incredible moment of representing our country at a World Cup.
"It's such an honour and privilege to wear the green and gold , very few can say they've played at a World Cup for their country. For me, it's truly one of the proudest moments of my career so far."
The 21-year-old centre says she is working tirelessly to secure a professional contract overseas and hopes to earn her senior national team debut soon.
"My main motivation right now is to earn a call-up for the Spar Proteas, that's something I'm really striving towards. I'm putting in the work every day to reach that next level.
"After that, I would love to get an international opportunity, maybe play for a club in England or Australia. You never know what doors can open, but I'm excited for what's ahead and ready to keep pushing towards my dreams,” she concluded.
