Molokwane was suspended by World Netball last month, although no details have been publicly disclosed regarding the reasons behind the suspension.
In an exclusive interview with SABC Sport, Hendricks revealed that the investigation is nearing completion and that the full outcome, including the reasons for Molokwane’s suspension, will be made public in due course.
"The proper investigation will now take place, and we have been advised that the investigation will take up to seven weeks, if not longer," stated Hendricks.
The former president of the Gauteng Sports Confederation says he has advised the Ministry of Sport and the parliamentary portfolio committee to adopt the World Netball process in response to last month’s suspension that stunned the nation.
"It's very simple. I have advised the minister, the deputy minister, the chair of the portfolio committee, and I've even advised the current president of Netball South Africa to simply follow the process, no matter how long it takes, so that your name may be cleared," said Hendricks.
Hendricks, who was re-elected for a second term in November last year, maintains that although SASCOC has the authority to communicate with World Netball as the sport’s governing body in the country, it will not intervene in World Netball’s internal investigation into Molokwane.
Hendricks also told the national broadcaster that the Olympic body respects World Netball's decision to suspend Molokwane, despite the limited details provided, and added that they would have taken the same stance with any other international sports federation.
