We’ve turned the corner – SuperSport United striker Bradley Grobler

SuperSport United striker Bradley Grobler feels they’ve finally turned the corner on the back of two successive wins.

The Tshwane side followed up their DStv Premiership 2-1 victory over Moroka Swallows last weekend by picking up all three points against Al Hilal Benghazi in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage fixture midweek.

Grobler wants to carry that momentum when they host Orlando Pirates at the Peter Mokaba Stadium tomorrow night.

"It's a game we can use as a momentum builder as well. It's two wins in a row after a disappointing run so a lot of positives obviously getting the first point in the group is good. So, ya, a lot of positives to take in the game. We went through a stage where weren't picking up results but that didn't really hamper the mood and obviously now, we've come off two wins and very important wins," Grobler said.

SuperSport coach Gavin Hunt had to rely on a lot of the academy players with some of their senior counterparts still nursing injuries.

Grobler says the decision to remain in Polokwane ahead of the Pirates game was also good for the group.

"At the moment obviously, we are still struggling with a few injuries but the mood is good. We're going to be here for the week and it's good that the guys are together. I think everyone is just looking forward to the game. The wins and where we wanna finish in the league, it was important to pick up those victories," he added.

Only one point separates SuperSport and Pirates on the log table after 14 matches, and Grobler sees the Buccaneers as direct competition.

"This is a big opportunity obviously Pirates is a very good team and a difficult team to play but it's a team that we kind of competing with at the moment for positions in the league. So, it's a game we've got to go and give our all for and get as many points as we can."
