TUT aiming to wrap up 2025 season on a high

TUT Matsatsatsa Ladies striker Thabiso Senyatsi says they are intent on finishing their 2025 Hollywoodbets Super League campaign with purpose.

The Tshwane outfit head to Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium on Saturday to face Durban Ladies in their final outing of the season.

TUT have made significant strides this year, climbing five places to secure sixth position after 29 matches, with Senyatsi has called on her teammates to finish strong.

“I look forward to us ending the season on a good note as we already have, and our focus tomorrow is not only to collect the three points, but it’s also for us to have fun," said Senyatsi.

"It has been a season of improvement for us and we want to maintain the momentum going into 2026."

Their return of 44 points from 29 games puts them just four adrift of the University of the Western Cape, and Senyatsi believes their upward shift reflects a team that finally found its rhythm and sustained it across the campaign.

“After two unsuccessful seasons, I feel 2025 was good to us. The team’s intensity has increased and you could see that the players wanted to show their ability and consistency as the spirit was always high, that’s why the team is where it is today,” added Senyatsi.

The 21-year-old, who was recently voted Player of the Tournament at the 2025 Women’s Varsity Football, is eager to build on her progress and hopes another strong season will propel her closer to national team recognition.

“ I could say I am really happy about my individual performance in just two seasons with TUT Ladies. I really hope to improve more as time goes on.

"So next year we will keep the same attitude. I just want to continue to work hard and hopefully I will get a national call-up for COSAFA,” she expressed.
