TS Galaxy Queens taking lessons from first Super League defeat

TS Galaxy Queens midfielder Mamello Makhabane says they will take lessons from their first defeat in the 2025 Hollywoodbets Super League campaign.

The Rockets went down 2-0 to JVW FC in their fourth clash of the season at UJ Soweto Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Speaking to SABC Sport, Makhabane believes not sticking to their game plan came at a cost against a highly competitive opponent.

"Yesterday's loss was disappointing, but we lost against one of the good teams in the league, and I think they came up with a plan for us, which I think really worked for them," said Makhabane.

"I think they executed their plans very well, hence they managed to go away with three points, and it was a really tough match, to be honest.

"We tried our best, but I think, on our side, we didn't execute our plans well, which I believe happens in the the game of football, but we need to do better as a team."

TS Galaxy started the season on a high with two wins and a draw, but Makhabane acknowledged that consistency is key to maintaining a good record.

She stressed that the new season calls for the team to remain focused and collect as many points as possible to finish in a decent position.

"We will collect as many points as we can, win as many games as we can, and at the end, I think God will decide our fate, so I think it's just for us to keep going, keep performing in each game, and take one game at a time," she concluded.
