Thomas Partey delights at Arsenal dismantling of Chelsea

Thomas Partey was delighted to play his part as Arsenal thrashed Chelsea 5-0 on Tuesday night to move back on top of the Premier League.

Partey started a league game for the first time for the title-chasing Gunners since returning from injury.

Leandro Trossard (4'), Ben White (52', 70') and Kai Havertz (57', 65') were all on target for a 24th win of the season to leave the club three points clear of Liverpool but having played a game more.

They are also four points clear of third-placed Manchester City, who have two games in hand.

Speaking after the game, the Ghana midfielder said on Ghanasoccernet: "It was a very good game, we went all out from the beginning because we knew how important this game was.

"If we don™t approach it right we are not able to win, but we did everything right and I™m really proud of the squad."

Partey also praised Havertz for his goals, adding: "He's a great player, he's working a lot and you can see the work he's doing. He deserves everything that comes along. I hope he can continue like that and finish the season strongly."
