It was a night of history, dominance, and dazzling individual performances - none more so than 19-year-old sensation Desire Doue, who finished with two goals, one assist, and the Man of the Match trophy.
Despite this being the first-ever competitive meeting between the two sides, PSG immediately looked more comfortable. The French champions controlled possession from the opening whistle, with their front line constantly interchanging to unsettle the Inter defense.
After early sighters from Doue and Ousmane Dembele, PSG broke the deadlock in the 12th minute. A lovely exchange of passes saw Vitinha slip Doue into the box, who then unselfishly squared for Achraf Hakimi to tap home from close range.
Inter Milan never recovered from that early blow. In the 20th minute, Dembele's cross found Doue, who rifled a shot that deflected off Federico Dimarco and nestled in the back of the net to make it 2-0.
Despite a couple of corners and long-range efforts, Inter were largely toothless. Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martinez struggled to make any impact up front, while Hakan Calhanoglu's deliveries failed to find a teammate.
By half-time, PSG were firmly in control, with their 2-0 lead flattering Inter.
PSG picked up right where they left off after the break. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Dembele both came close within minutes of the restart, while Inter's frustrations boiled over as Inzaghi went into the book for dissent.
In the 63rd minute, PSG effectively ended the contest. A silky back-heel from Dembele released Vitinha, who squared for Doue. The teenager calmly slotted home his second goal of the night, celebrating with his shirt off as yellow cards and adoration poured in.
Four minutes later, his shift was done - replaced by Barcola to a standing ovation.
A defeated Inter were picked apart again in the 73rd minute. This time, it was Kvaratskhelia getting on the scoresheet, latching onto a Dembele through-ball and calmly finishing past Sommer for PSG's fourth.
With the game long gone, PSG showed no mercy. Substitute Senny Mayulu added a fifth in the 87th minute after combining with Barcola, sending the PSG bench into tears and jubilation.
As the final whistle blew, Inter Milan players slumped to the turf while PSG's erupted in celebration, having finally won the Champions League after years of near-misses and heartbreak.
