Rulani Mokwena notes Kaizer Chiefs' marked improvement under Molefi Ntseki

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena has highlighted the areas of improvement Kaizer Chiefs have already shown under coach Molefi Ntseki.

The two sides face off in a DStv Premiership encounter at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday, with a 15h00 kick-off scheduled due to the Women's Day public holiday.

With Ntseki having come in to replace Arthur Zwane as head coach since the last time they met, Mokwena is wary of the changes both in a technical sense as well as from a playing personnel sense.

"Of course, you have to also gauge in relation to some of the changes that have been made from a technical perspective – of course, now you've got a new coach so he needs time to work on his ideas and get the players to adapt," Mokwena told the media.

"And it's a little bit clear, even though it doesn't move too far away from the 4-2-3-1 [formation] that they employed [last season], there are moments where it's a little bit more aggressive in a 4-3-3.

"But I think the two centre-backs have given them a lot of stability this year – a lot stronger in defending the box, with [Thatayaone] Ditlhokwe and [Given] Msimango.

"So, those possibilities show a big improvement on their side in relation to that but, yeah, as I said, big respect to them. From a physical profile, they've got enough to hurt you – both in open play and on set-pieces."
