The Red Devils were forced to dig deep after defender Nathan Ngoy was sent off shortly after the hour mark, leaving them under pressure for large spells in their second Group G encounter.
Speaking after the draw, Lukaku acknowledged it was difficult to know how to feel about the result, with Belgium still searching for their first victory of the tournament.
"We don't like the result, but we have to stay positive because at the end of the day we have one more game to play. Today's performance was not efficient enough and we were a bit emotional, but we will try to improve for the next game."

Asked why a team with such high profile players has struggled so far at the World Cup despite massive expectations, Lukaku was almost at a loss for words.
Belgium face New Zealand in their final group fixture and the 33-year-old believes if they can learn from their previous two games then they can progress.
