Substitutes Asanele Velebayi and Mfundo Vilakazi combined to set up Glody Lilepo, who scored a beauty from the edge of the box to end a four-game winless streak for Amakhosi in the league. The win sees Chiefs closing the gap and inching closer to the third spot, and Kaze says this is what the team needed right now.
"It's been a tough past two weeks and I am very happy for the three points. It's going to give us a litttle bit of a boost and confidence for the players going forward," says Kaze
"I am not happy with the last minute of the game, we conceded a lot of possession to the opponents and lost the ball too easily in transition. I think it is something that we have to work on and improve to control the game, because we are better when we are winning."
Kaze has also acknowledged that his team needs to improve in managing the game, as they looked too desperate and struggled to contain the opposition while fighting hard to get an equaliser.
Chiefs players and technical team came to this game under a lot of pressure on and off the field. Some of the mistakes that the players were committing on the pitch were also down to the immense pressure they were feeling, and Kaze shares how they kept them focused ahead of this game.
One of the criticisms of the Chiefs’ technical team has been the chopping and changing of the starting line-up, aside from the injuries and suspensions. According to Kaze, these are some of the factors that lead to this.
