Molefi Ntseki to reunite with his ex-junior international (Luke Fleurs)?

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Molefi Ntseki has given a strong indication that he would like to reunite with former South African junior international defender Luke Fleurs, who started training with the team this week.

Fleurs started training with Chiefs this week after he received his clearance from SuperSport United, after having struggled to get game time at the club since last season.

Ntseki coached Fleurs at the national U17 level and knows what he can do.

The club currently has about five centre-backs (two also play as fullbacks) at 23, Ntseki knows that this is not the kind of talent that can just be ignored like that.

"Can we just keep it like that and agree that any quality player that is available and we can afford to bring to the club we'll do that. But as of now I think we've got good quality players that have given us the stability that we need," Ntseki said.

"When you talk of Luke Fleurs, I think we all know his qualities. He has been in the under 17 national team. I had an opportunity to work with him when he was 16. So, here we are, I've come across Luke Fluers again in the PSL.

So, let's wait and see what comes out of this but at the same time we've got good quality players at the club. I think defensively, we've been doing very well and like I said any good quality that is available, we'll definitely go for that player if ever he is available, and we can afford."

Ntseki has also thanked the club for backing him by bringing in more quality players this season in this transfer window. After the signing of nine new players, Ntseki is asking for patience from the fans to allow the new players to settle.

"Ya, we are asking for patience and at times when you ask for patience when somebody is very impatient, you have to do something to make him or her patient. What we are doing now that is what the club is doing. The club is signing quality players just to bring the patience in our supporters," Ntseki said.

"I think that's what the club is doing to say as impatient as we are, we are bringing in quality just to have patience with this quality that we are bringing. We have just made mention of the number of players that we've just brought to the team, and we started this season and even currently we are playing, six, seven of them.

Playing six, seven of them means even us as the technical team, even me as a head coach, I need to be patient with those players because you brought them with individual qualities but those individual qualities you have to be patient to make them more of a team quality."
