How Tim Sukazi and Adnan Beganovic align on TS Galaxy's big picture

TS Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi has emphasised the importance of alignment between management and the technical team, outlining a collaborative approach that drives the club’s vision.

In an exclusive discussion with SABC Sport, Sukazi detailed how regular strategy sessions with head coach Adnan Beganovic and his technical staff cover everything from match analysis to talent identification and setting seasonal targets.

The Rockets endured a sluggish start to their Betway Premiership campaign, compounded by a FIFA-imposed transfer ban that has since been lifted.

Sukazi credited the turnaround to meticulous planning and a clearly defined roadmap aimed at building a competitive, sustainable team while staying true to the club’s long-term ambitions.

"At TS Galaxy it's always collective work, from a distance it may look like it's only coaching alone but we are all contributors to our course. From a coaching element, administrative element, tactical, technical and so forth and so on,” Sukazi said.

“So, all put together, probably the outcome of our work at some level becomes admirable. When we plan with our coaches we are very clear to say, we have this club, this is a project, this is our business model in the first instance, we don't have any headline sponsor or anything so we are very much reliant on producing good players that we could transfer so that we could reinvest in our project.

“So, that's very important, we have to live to that, whether we like it or not. It's part of the mandate, it's very clear to our coaching team and of course then they'll be a strategy as to how then do we balance it out because as you've correctly pointed out, these kind of transfers could easily be to the detriment of the club because if you take all our players you pull in back Aubaas, you pull all these players who played for TS Galaxy in recent time, we'd have a very formidable team maybe challenging for the championship, who knows."

The chairman insists Galaxy must secure a top eight finish every season.

"It is within expectation that despite the model of the club, the business model of the club, the club has to perform to certain levels, minimum top 8 and of course, the higher the position, the better,” he added.

“So, the last three, four seasons since we have been having this avalanche of transfers of players, we have been on an upward trajectory. Position 13, position 10, position six, position five, we'll see how this season goes.

“So, then this indicates that we have been able to strike a balance, miraculously so because as I've said it in the other platforms that you can challenge Sundowns to sell Ronwen [Williams], Teboho Mokoena, Ribeiro [Lucas], Mudau [Khuliso], at least five or six like us when we did with seven players in one hit and see if they'll win the league, I have doubts. So, it's not the easiest thing to do."
