Give Pitso Mosimane a chance – Molefi Ntseki

Mosimane was unveiled at the association’s headquarters in Nasrec yesterday, marking a return to the post after his first spell fourteen years ago.

While the detractors have not approved of the decision to give him a second bite at the cherry, Ntseki says the 62-year-old has evolved as a coach and proven his mettle in the last decade or so to deserve the job.

"We all saw what happened at Real Madrid. Mourinho left Madrid and many years passed, but because they know what he can bring to the table he was brought back to the club, and that is not different to the return of coach Pitso."

Mosimane’s second coming coincides with Ntseki’s stint as Technical Director, a former Bafana Bafana coach himself. He says the unique situation will benefit the team as they both know the demands of the job and will work well together.

He says of all the coaches who applied for the job, Mosimane had the best presentation and vision for not only the senior team but also the junior national teams.

"I think he did very well with his presentation in terms of his projections and how he wants things to be done. So let's give him the opportunity to take our football to the next level. The most important thing about football for a coach is what they are able to bring to the game today and tomorrow, and it's not about what you did in the previous years. Football is evolving and we are all students of the game, and that's exactly why we've come up with this turnaround strategy."
