This comes after the Crinums secured a dominant 60-38 victory over the North West Flames to extend their winning streak - having obtained five out of five wins to start off their campaign.
Pretorius says sticking to their game plan will be key to achieving the desired results as they wrap up Power Week 1.
“Yes, we are very happy with the win, and it’s a good one for us. It’s all about building into the TNL. This journey is process-driven - we believe in following all the steps and making sure the process is right. That will give us the outcome we need by the end of the first leg,” said Pretorius.
The Free State side remains top of the standings with five points, just one ahead of the Gauteng Jaguars. Pretorius believes consistency will be crucial in staying ahead of their closest challengers.
“We want to be on top in every game. Like I said, it’s about following the right steps. Our goal is to go unbeaten in this tournament. At the end of the day, you want to be the best on court - to be consistent and accurate in how you apply yourself. The key for us is to ensure that every time we step on court, we improve,” added Pretorius.
The experienced goal defence says she is happy with the team’s ability to maintain control throughout their matches.
“In this game, we’re happy that we were able to sustain our lead. We are a team of 12, not just seven. It’s also great that all players got a chance to play, which helps with testing different combinations,” she expressed.
