The three-day test series will take place at Ellis Park in Johannesburg from 29 January - 01 February 2026.
Speaking to SABC Sport, Labuschagne says he wants to make a difference against a world class team, and aims to frustrate their defence line.
“I know this is probably one of the biggest tests in my netball career, it's very important for me to be able to deliver under such pressure.
"I want to make a huge difference and give the Aussies a hard time on defence, playing disciplined netball, whilst being a menace on the attack,” said Labuschagne.
The South Africa men side enjoyed a successful 2025, finishing the year with silverware from the Africa Cup which took place in Lilongwe in December.
The 24-year-old says there’s team belief and that they are looking to maintain the winning momentum.
"I'm sure we are really going to be wanting to go out and take this series, this is going to be the biggest test the Protea Pumas team will be faced with, so we will be taking it game by game, wanting to improve on each performance.
"We are chasing the win, also wanting to prove that we can maintain the winning momentum from the Africa Cup.”
