This, after NSA hosted a stakeholders gathering in Johannesburg yesterday, to introduce the new executive members to their partners and reaffirm their four-year plan.
Speaking to SABC Sport, Diale says this meeting was to make sure that their partners know that netball in South Africa is restored and the federation is ready to move forward.
“The main aim is to meet our stakeholders because we wanted to reassure them that netball is in good hands and it has been restored despite all the negative news that was surrounding the federation. We wanted our partners to know that there’s new leadership on board, which is expected to take netball forward. And we remain grateful for their continued support,” said Diale.
The newly elected NSA executive, expected to serve until 2028, includes - Khosi Dlamini as Vice President, Lana Krige as the Director of Selections, Dumisani Chauke as the Director of Coaches and Magriet Bester as the Director of Umpires and Claudine Classen as Director of Demarcations and Structure.
“I have full confidence in the entire executive. These are the people who will take netball forward; they have such a good background in netball. They have been through the structures for a long period, and they understand the system,” added Diale.
Diale says they will now shift focus to making sure that they host successful Spar Championships - which take place from 30 November in Boksburg.
“Now we are ready to focus on the upcoming Spar Championships. We already have 2029 players who are registered to participate in the tournament, which will take place here in Johannesburg. This is a big initiative, it’s mainly under-21s and we are happy that Spar is backing us all the way,” she concluded.
