Kaizer Chiefs ready to lock horns with struggling Golden Arrows

Kaizer Chiefs are targeting all three points at home to Golden Arrows in the DStv Premiership on Sunday.

Amakhosi are keen to secure a CAF Champions League place this season and need a win to close the gap on the teams above them.

Arthur Zwane's side head into this league clash in fifth place on the standings with 28 points; level with Orlando Pirates, three points adrift of Richards Bay and four behind second placed SuperSport United.

League leaders Mamelodi Sundowns are a massive 27 points better off than Chiefs, meaning just one Champions League spot is realistically up for grabs.

The team last beat Maritzburg United 2-0 in the Nedbank Cup last 32 as Arrows in 13th overcame Pretoria Callies 2-1.

Ahead of the tie, Zwane said on City Press: "They all know, they know how important this game is for us. Here's another opportunity for us to make sure that we climb the ladder and get maximum points.

"We know it won't be easy, but we want to keep it tight at the back and take our chances when they come. If we don't concede, we stand a good chance of collecting all three points.

"We missed out on climbing the ladder once, we can't afford to miss out again. This game is a must-win for us, and we're ready to go out there and do what it takes to get the job done."
