Golden Arrows edge Kaizer Chiefs in five-goal thriller

Golden Arrows claimed a 3-2 victory over Kaizer Chiefs in DStv Premiership action at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday.

Chiefs took the lead in the ninth minute after Keagan Dolly sent in a pinpoint corner which Sifiso Hlanti guided home with his head.

The two switched roles soon after when Dolly chipped the keeper from Hlanti's pass but unfortunately the Amakhos playmaker's effort hit the post.

Christian Saile's shot was punched away on the half-hour mark with Ashley du Preez's rebound attempt going wide.

Arrows equalised on the stroke of half-time when Ntsako Makhubela rifled Knox Mutizwa's delivery into the roof of the net.

The Amakhosi restored their lead soon after the break when Mduduzi Shabalala hit the top left corner with his left foot after the ball had fallen to him.

Mutizwa equalised for Abafana Bes'thende in the 69th minute when Siyabonga Khumalo beat a couple of defenders before his delivery was tucked into the roof of the net from close-range by the Zimbabwean striker.

The Arrows marksman grabbed his brace ten minutes later when he planted the ball into the top left corner after picking up a stray pass from Chiefs and take the lead, which Arrows would preserve to come away with a crucial three points.
