Don't bet in the PSL - Gavin Hunt

SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt says a betting man would lose all his fortune in the Premier Soccer League. That is how unpredictable the DStv Premiership is.

His side face Swallows FC on Saturday, an awkward side that has been blowing hot and cold even with the appointment of Ernst Middendorp in December.

The Dube birds have had a single win in the five matches since the German-born mentor arrived and the domestic league resumed.

“You can never pick a winner. You would think they're away or they're at home so they should win or they're top of the league or bottom so they will win.

When the team hasn't won for some time, that's the most dangerous team but when the teams are winning, then you may stand a chance," Hunt said.

Hunt labelled the fixture “dangerous”.

"They're desperate. It's all about mentality and obviously, we need that quality to give us that final pass which gives you the victory. You can talk all day about an easy win but they'll be up for it and we'll have to see from there," he added.

Another one of Hunt’s concerns is that SuperSport might still be without captain Thulani Hlatshwayo, who started training on Monday. Hlatshwayo suffered a concussion on New Year’s eve against Marumo Gallants.

"He's been out for four weeks; concussions are quite scary because he's had a few. He's been a rock for us," Hunt concluded.
