This after the Proteas secured a dominant display with a 166-runs lead against the host in the final, to help win the One Day International series 2-1 in the Caribbean.
Speaking to SABC Sport, Mlaba says remaining on the winning side will help set the tone for the 50 overs World Cup in September.
"Mostly what I feel like everyone took out from this series is we wanna keep this momentum going. We wanna play like this to prepare for the World Cup because now the main focus is the ODI World Cup, so we wanna try our best and keep this momentum going," Mlaba said.
The Proteas sealed the ODI series in style against the host, bowling them out for 269. While, Mlaba managed to secure her career-best bowling figures of four for 33 to close out the match. She says she is proud of her contribution, and believes it was a great team effort.
"And I think for me getting my best bowling figures really helped the team on the game because we obviously needed to win the game. I always thank the team because if it wasn’t for them then that wasn't gonna happen at all,” she added.
“I felt like everyone just put their hands up and they did whatever the team needed the most and I'm so glad that everyone was helping each other for us to obviously get that win."
The 25-year-old explains what it meant for the team to have secured an ODI series win against the West Indies away from home, also considering that they are only three months away from competing at the World Cup.
"Firstly, everyone is happy to finally win the series because we've been really struggling and winning against West Indies 2-1 especially not even at home, from the first game it was obviously a bit hard for us but I feel like we brought it back nicely and I'm just happy about how everything just turned out."
