Badela was appointed Chippa United’s head coach last week on a three-year contract, just a few weeks after returning from Morocco, where he was an assistant coach to coach Rulani Mokwena at Wydad Casablanca.
Moloisane played under Badela at All Stars in the Motsepe Foundation Championship and knows what he’s capable of.
"I'm very happy for coach Sinethemba Badela, one of the reasons why I went to the PSL and I felt comfortable. He played a major role in my career, I used to do video analysis with him on six hour buses with him to Venda, he'll sit with me with a laptop, we'd make corrections,” Moloisane said.
“So, I'm very grateful to him and I'm very happy that he gets to have an opportunity to coach in the PSL. I can't wait to see him as well."
As a player, Badela (35) played at Black Poison in Soweto, coached by Mokwena, and was also at Jomo Cosmos and Yebo Yes United (now Pele Pele FC).
Moloisane, who also hails from Soweto, says there’s a strong influence of Mokwena in Badela’s coaching philosophy.
"A very smart, tactically very astute, most similarly to coach Rulani I think that's why they work well together. He's a top, top analyst, it's a coach that actually analyses the game for you and going to the changing room at half-time, you go out knowing what you need to do in the second half,” he added.
“Second half just becomes easy for you, so he's a coach that's very similar to coach Rulani, a lot of the similarities you'll probably see in his game, similar to coach Rulani."
