IPL: Virat Kohli in sublime form as RCB overcome Gujarat Titans

Virat Kohli was in superb form to guide the Royal Challengers Bangalore to a five wicket victory against Gujarat Titans in their Indian Premier League clash at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The former India captain looked imperious at the crease to score 81 from 44 deliveries as RCB chased down a target of 206 with seven balls to spare.

Kohli was well supported by Devdutt Padikkal, who struck 55 from 27 balls, as RCB cantered to their fifth victory in seven matches this season.

The Titans had earlier posted a total of 205-3 in their 20 overs thanks largely to a century from opener Sai Sudharsan.

The left-handed Sudharsan scored exactly 100 from 58 balls while skipper Shubman Gill contributed 32 off 24 deliveries.

West Indies allrounder Jason Holder came in at the death to smash an unbeaten 23 from just 10 balls to take the visitors over the 200-run mark but it proved to be not enough.

It was the Titans' third defeat in seven games this campaign with a clash against Chennai Super Kings to come on Sunday.
