The visitors batted first and posted a 168 first innings total, and Jansen had the task of defending it on his home ground with the Titans.
He admitted that while they lost two early wickets in the match, he knew how to work the conditions to his favour in the second innings and returned best bowling figures of 4/24.
"We were smiling as a bowling unit the second we realised we would get assistance from the track in the form of nip, bounce, and swing. It was important for us to remain patient and calm and back our plans at a high scoring ground."
Jansen moved to the Titans only this year along with his twin brother Marco, and recognises that it was a big move in domestic cricket.
He says he has had to work hard to force his way into the team and grab his opportunity when it finally came.
"Moving from the North West to the Titans was a big move. It's a massive franchise in South Africa so you obviously want to stand out. When I got my chance, I made sure to take my opportunity, and from then on, I've looked to improve and not become complacent.
"I will look to do the same for Joburg Super Kings by trying to be better in each game I play."
While he had a debut to remember in the SA20, Jansen conceded that there’s still areas to improve in his game.
He believes he especially needs to work on his performance with the new ball compared to the old one.
