UCT looking to maintain good form against Copperbelts

University of Cape Town coach Ahmed Parker says they look forward to claiming positive results when they face Copperbelts FC in Seshego on Saturday.

UCT have not lost a match in four outings, and will come into this fixture hoping to maintain their good form away from home.

Speaking to SABC Sport, Parker says they are aware that it won’t be an easy clash, with Copperbelts chasing the top four spot.

"Three points against us would take them to the top four, so that's definitely something they won't be taking lightly but from our side as well, it's been a good run of form now. We've had four games we've gone undefeated so for a first season, that's always a positive run of results,” Parker said.

“Away from home it's not gonna be easy but we'd love to continue that. So, from our side we're gonna be competing as best as we can to try and take the points off them as well.

“So, we're not just gonna be there to make up the numbers, we're definitely gonna be there to compete."

Parker adds that playing away is always challenging for the teams in the Hollywoodbets Super League, citing issues around financial constraints.

"Being away from home is never easy but going to Seshego is especially challenging. With the challenges that we as teams still face from a financial perspective, the league is not quite at a point where we can travel by plane and have accomodation sorted for a couple of nights in the area where we are staying,” the coach explained.

“Often it means travelling either on the morning of the game then travelling from Joburg to wherever we need to be. So, the journey itself is going to be physically demanding."
