The Rockets began the season with just 13 players available in their matchday squad after a FIFA ban prevented the club from registering new signings.
With the sanction now lifted, Galaxy suddenly have far more options at their disposal.
Basic admits the challenge now is ensuring every player feels valued while keeping competition within the group healthy.
“You have to trust everyone and make sure every player feels happy. Over the last year and a half, we have created an environment where players come to training excited and proud to be part of the Galaxy family,” Basic said.
“And you can see that on the pitch. We don’t have problems in the group. Everyone is here because they deserve to be here. We speak to the players on the bench all the time, telling them what they can do better. Every player is important.”
Basic added that squad depth has become even more crucial with the demanding fixture schedule.
“When you play every three days you must rotate. You need fresh legs and energy for every match,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Galaxy are under pressure in the Betway Premiership after suffering five consecutive defeats, a run that has placed their top eight ambitions in jeopardy.
Despite their progressing to the Nedbank Cup semifinals, Basic insists the club remains determined to improve their league form ahead of Friday’s away clash against Stellenbosch FC at the Danie Craven Stadium.
“We cannot say reaching the cup final would be enough for us this season. TS Galaxy must fight on every front to come out of this situation,” he said.
