¨The Rockets have slipped to eighth in the Betway Premiership after 11 matches, struggling to put together a sustained run of form.
¨As they prepare to host an in-form Golden Arrows side on Sunday afternoon, Mbunjana says he expects a response.
"We've gotten results but also lost points, so consistently-wise I don't think we have been up to par, so that's something that we need to fix now in these last three games that are left before we go into the [AFCON] break," said Mbunjana.
"So we're preparing, we've had an international break that was much-needed, I think, so that we can refresh, recover and reboot so that we are ready for the next three games."
The veteran midfielder believes part of their uneven displays can be traced to the integration of young players still adjusting to the demands of topflight football.
"We are trying to adapt and sync everybody into the coach's system, especially the new players that have come in, and especially those in defence," he added.
"There was a point in the previous season when I played as a centre-back, but now we have players that can play there and the problem we had was at the start of the season when we couldn't sign players, and only a certain number of players could play.
"Now we have everybody available for selection, and we are at full strength with a full squad, so we are trying to adapt and the coach is trying to sync in everybody to the system."
