The Rockets are ready for the new Premiership season

TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic is targeting a winning start in their DStv Premiership encounter against AmaZulu at Bidvest Stadium on Sunday at 3pm.

The 43-year-old German mentor joined the Rockets in the middle of the 2021/22 season and ultimately helped them to avoid relegation.

Last season the Rockets were not disciplined in defence, conceding 38 goals while scoring just 22 in their 30 league game.

However, Ramovic - a retired goalkeeper - wants them to keep it tight at the back and play an entertaining brand of football after enjoying his first pre-season with the team.

Ramovic says he learned a lesson about fighting relegation last season and wants to see his team finishing in the top eight this season by collecting as many points as early as possible to avoid putting themselves under pressure.

œNo team like to play and have the pressure of relegation part so not we either. It was of course a difficult year but at the end we managed it very well, it wasn™t easier though said Ramovic.

The Serbian did not make too many changes to his team and retained almost the same squad, arguing that their problem last season was scoring goals.

Having worked on finishing in the off-season, he hopes his players will convert their chances in the new Premiership season.

œLike I said the effort that we keep as the whole team, players-we just added few and I am sure they will add the quality and put us in a different level. So the most difficult part last season was that our final pass was not that well, we had a lot of chances but we didn™t score many goals so this is what we need to improve the German born mentor concluded.
