Sofyan Amrabat's career reignited at Real Betis amid rising demand for permanent stay

After a turbulent spell in Turkey, Sofyan Amrabat is rediscovering his best form at Real Betis — and the Spanish side are now eager to make his stay permanent.

The Moroccan international arrived in Seville on loan from Fenerbahce during the last transfer window with little fanfare but has quickly proven himself an indispensable asset under manager Manuel Pellegrini.

His dominant displays in midfield have brought balance and bite to Betis' game, earning plaudits from both fans and analysts, wrote Moroccoworldnews.com.

According to Spanish outlet El Desmarque, club officials are not only impressed - they're already exploring ways to secure the 29-year-old's services beyond this season.

The loan deal, which expires in the summer, doesn't include a buy option and sees Fenerbahçe still footing the majority of Amrabat's wages. Even so, Betis are reportedly ready to push for a permanent move, possibly employing a strategy similar to the one used to land winger Antony.

For Amrabat, this spell at Betis marks a turning point. After struggling for form and minutes in Turkey, his resurgence in La Liga has re-established him as a top-tier midfield anchor. His athleticism, positional awareness, and relentless work rate have helped power Betis to three straight league wins, reinvigorating their campaign.

Pellegrini, known for building well-balanced sides, is understood to be fully behind the move to keep Amrabat long-term.

The Chilean tactician views him as a key piece in Betis' midfield engine room - a player capable of dictating tempo and breaking up opposition play with intelligence and aggression.

While Amrabat remains under contract with Fenerbahçe until 2028, his performances in Spain have sparked a growing belief that a permanent transfer could be mutually beneficial.

With Betis looking to cement a European qualification spot and Fenerbahce likely to reconsider his role, negotiations may heat up as the season draws to a close.

Capped 68 times by Morocco, Amrabat's revival at Betis could see him re-emerge as a sought-after figure in European football - and Seville may just be the place that reshapes his career.
